Welcome back to the Stock Detective Newsletter!
Each week we crack the code on Fintwit’s biggest mystery stocks so you don’t have to.
A quick reminder: these are my best guesses based on public teaser information. Accuracy isn’t guaranteed — but the hunt is always fun!
This week was quiet with only 3 new writeups from the accounts I follow. If I missed any be sure to send them my way! Here’s what crossed the desk this week:
🧩 #1: Floebertus
Teaser: US company growing intrinsic value at 22% CAGR for 12 years, trading at 50% of book value, buying back shares.
My Deduction: LGI Homes Inc ($LGIH)
🧩 #2: The Value Road
Teaser: “A Compounding Value Powerhouse” - Construction material producer poised for a rebound
My Deduction: Monarch Cement Co ($MCEM)
🧩 #3: Bison Insights - Josh Young
Teaser: “Jerry Jones’ Bet is Good, But This Stock is Better” - Comstock’s recent Haynesville divestiture offers fresh insight into how the market is mispricing a neighboring gas company.
My Deduction: There are a few names that fit, but I think it most closely resembles Epsilon Energy Ltd ($EPSN).
That’s it for this week!
